McCamant & Durrett Architects is an architecture and development consulting firm with offices in Berkeley and Nevada City, California. The husband-and-wife team of Katie McCamant and Charles Durrett has become well known nationally and internationally for the design of cohousing communities, childcare facilities, pedestrian-friendly town planning, and development consulting. Since 1987 the firm has provided complete architectural services for a wide range of clients.

In 1988, McCamant and Durrett introduced cohousing to the English speaking world with their seminal book "Cohousing: A Contemporary Approach to Housing Ourselves".

McCamant & Durrett Architects has adapted its cohousing design experience to affordable housing developments and senior neighborhoods. Other projects have included custom strawbale homes, mixed-use developments, town planning, and commercial projects.  The firm seeks opportunities to create community, reduce energy use and build more sustainably with every project.
