Broad Street Commons
Nevada City, California
A village-like 34-unit community located on 11 acres within walking distance of an historic "Gold Country" main street.
The development also includes seven single-family houses with front porches facing the street in keeping with Nevada City's traditional design, each with a small secondary unit.
Clustering the Victorian-style buildings kept 60% of the wooded site undeveloped.
Sustainable features include net-metered photovoltaic solar systems that provide most of the electricity for all units and the common house, and hydronic heat. Sustainability Features
