Oakcreek Cohousing Community

Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2011 for the first senior cohousing community to be built in the center of the United States. The 24-unit project will be located on a beautiful, tree-studded, 7 ½- acre site along Boomer Creek with access to biking and walking trails but still within the city limits. The community will include one-story cottages, a 3,500 SF common house, and shared and private outdoor space.

Rated as the sixth best small city in America, Stillwater, Oklahoma is the state's premier education community, the central entrepreneurial hub of Oklahoma's technology triangle and a college town with an attitude!  A small city feel with big city opportunities.  Within a one mile radius of the cohousing, residents will be able to find: grocery store, banks, restaurants, a shopping center, university and high school sports venues, shopping center, exercise and rehabilitation center, barber/beauty shops, small lake and walking trails. And now Stillwater is going to have a stellar senior cohousing as well.
